The residual soil is one of the major soils in peninsular region Malaysia. Because this, engineering activities can employ this kind building industry, such as retaining walls and high-rise building. Yet, because it structurally complicated has substantial weathering most locations, often brings heterogeneities, which lead to failure a structure. Finding value shear strength parameters geotechnical properties key solving problem, may be done here. After samples had been compacted, they were put through series triaxial tests, namely Consolidated Drained (CD) Undrained (CU) tests. A total eight samples, four for each test used study. As consequence tests that have carried out, cohesion parameter, c', recorded by CD greater than CU test. On other hand, friction angle, ϕ ', In meantime, with regard stress-strain behaviour, brittle pattern was seen every sample results also output study makes abundantly evident maximum values pore water pressure, lateral stress, axial strain would significantly increased if effective confining stress applied higher value.
